Studio Rental Policies
Thank you for choosing to rent the studio. In order to keep the space running smoothly and fairly for all renters, the following policies apply to every booking.
Cancellations & Reschedules
• Cancellations are permitted up to 24 hours prior to your session.
• Within 24 hours of your session, bookings may be rescheduled but not canceled.
• Reschedules are allowed up to 5 hours before your session with no penalty.
• Rescheduling requests made within 5 hours of your session will incur a $25 rescheduling fee.
I understand that things come up — these guidelines simply help keep the calendar running smoothly for all renters.
Backdrop Selection & Requests
• Backdrops not already kept in the studio must be requested at least 48 hours prior to your session.
• Same-day or last-minute backdrop requests cannot be accommodated.
• If no backdrop is selected in advance, the studio will be provided as-is.
• If you book your session within 48 hours of your session start time, the studio will be provided as-is and additional backdrops will not be pulled.
I am not always onsite or available to prepare backdrops. Advance notice allows proper preparation.
Props
All visible props in the studio are available for use.
Any props, outfits, backdrops, or items in drawers, bins or behind the closet curtain are private property of Shelly Sims Photography and are not included in the rental. Please respect these boundaries, as use of private items may result in loss of rental privileges.
Rental Time
Your rental period includes:
• Setup
• Shooting time
• Breakdown & cleanup
Please plan your session timing accordingly. Extensions are not guaranteed and depend on availability.
Outside Backdrops & Props
Renters are welcome to bring their own backdrops and props.
• All outside items must be removed at the end of your rental time.
• No pets, glitter, or confetti without prior approval.
• If approved, adequate clean up is required before your rental ends.
Rental Limits
When you rent the studio, you have full access to the indoor studio space and the front porch, including the swing. Please note that the yard is private property and is not included in the rental. Kindly ensure that your clients remain within the designated studio and porch areas at all times.
Parking
Photographers must park on the street. Clients may pull up to the studio; however, vehicles must pull all the way forward and may not block the driveway at any time. Driveway access must remain clear.
Respect for the Space
This studio is both a professional workspace and private property. I kindly ask that all renters treat the space with care and professionalism. Renters who repeatedly disregard policies or attempt to bypass procedures may be declined for future bookings.
These policies are in place to keep things fair, organized, and enjoyable for everyone who uses the studio.

All rental questions should be directed via email prior to your booking.
By booking the studio, you acknowledge and agree to all rental policies listed above.
